Edmonton City Hall Terrorist Breaks Left/Right Narratives
The reasons he gave in his video are an amalgamation of the left and right positions. It’s been fascinating watching the left and right try to figure out how to portray Bezhani or find out how they can blame the other side.
Bezhani Sarvar was the man who went into Edmonton City Hall armed with guns and incendiary devices to complete a mission. We have yet to find out what that mission was.
It’s horrible that someone would think that act is going to help or solve any problems. The Western Standard has an article highlighting what happened and the response from the City of Edmonton and EPS that can be found here. In this article, I want to focus on his “manifesto” video and the response to it.
The reasons he gave in his video are an amalgamation of the left and right positions. It’s been fascinating watching the left and right try to figure out how to portray Bezhani or find out how they can blame the other side. What’s happening is they’ll pick a few points out of the video and only mention those. If you ask about the other points they’ll ignore you, call you a terrorist, block you, or say the other points do not matter.
The main commentary coming from the right is that he’s a Jew-hating Hamas-supporting diversity terrorist. Anyone going into a public building with weapons has the goal of terror or death, so he’s a terrorist. I can’t say he’s a Jew-hating Hamas supporter. He said wants to stop funding wars and thinks what’s happening between Israel and Palestine is a Genocide. I don’t know how that comment means he’s a Jew-hating Hamas supporter.

The right will completely ignore that speaking about inflation, the housing crisis, and the breakdown in our society which is something they also agree with.
I found that the left is having a harder time with it. The most common position is he’s been radicalized by Pierre, Smith, CPC, or anyone on the right they dislike the most. Pierre’s rhetoric about wokesim, corruption, tyranny, and immigration is what drove him to commit this act. The immigration comment is interesting because people on the right criticize Pierre for not wanting to slow or stop immigration, yet the left thinks he does. These echo chambers create very interesting realities.
When you ask people on the left if Pierre also speaks about a Gaza genocide or stopping support for destabilizing wars they get quiet. Do the people on the left believe that Muslims are on the side of the woke agenda? Somehow Pierre managed to change their mind and now they think woke is a problem?

I don’t think Bezhani has been radicalized by the right or the left. He’s a product of a broken system that pretends to care all the while slowly making things worse. Then they control with you this illusion of choice politics and binary decisions. Are you this or that?
The world is a stage, most of what we see in the media is dramatic theatre. Left vs right is an illusion. Fear campaigns & partisan politics are how they keep the population distracted while simultaneously rug-pulling the middle class little by little.
