Politics
Welcome to Canada’s Political Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus
After watching the establishment federal parties they’re just trying to gather souls on the path of easy ignorance
As I patiently listen to people advocating for their party’s position and arguing with other tribes, I try to keep an open mind to their ideas. I understand the anger and resentment as I find myself dragged in. When I walk off the stage I see that we’re just living in The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.
Dr. Parnassus has a portal to the magical Imaginarium that takes customers to a world created by their own desires and offers them a choice between difficult self-fulfillment or easy ignorance.
After watching the establishment federal parties just trying to gather souls on the path of easy ignorance. They do not seem to care about what they report to stand for. They just want you to follow them while they distract you with dislike and fear of the other. They flood you with information, fear, and propaganda while they change the scene in Imaginarium hoping you forget what they said, did, or did not do. To stay in power they work in concert so they lock in the machine by feeding you your current desires.

Parnassus has a difficult task guiding them to choose difficult self-fulfillment when Dr.Nick has taken over the Imaginarium. Dr. Nick controls the mass media, the “alt-media”, the establishment parties, and the institutions. All the while the Imaginarium is collapsing on purpose or due to the nature of its design.
Some days regret choosing the path of difficult self-fulfillment as the path to easy ignorance is so much easier. When sports highlights were the first thing I watched, was excited for popcorn while watching The Walking Dead, and only really paying attention to politics when it was time to vote. We are in the current situation because too many people chose that path.
You need to keep an open mind and listen to people from both sides of a debate. Critically listen to mass media and government as they desperately try to keep you in the Imaginarium.
They have hurt a lot of people over the last three years and I do not think they can get that trust back. Some people are trying to help you break through the illusions and if you look you will find them.
I will end with some lyrics from Punk Rock Song by Bad Religion.
“The party convention and the real politik
The face is always different, the rhetoric the same
But we swallow it all and we see nothing change
Nothing has changed
This is just a punk rock song
Written for the people who can see something’s wrong”
